“Liz has helped me with back pain, ear infections, menopause symptoms, indigestion, you name it. Kind and welcoming. Very good listener, too.” ~SB, Hove.

Sessions

Initial Consultations- £75 - 1 ½ hours:

For those seeing me for the first time for acupuncture and/ or Chinese herbal medicine. Or for those who have seen me before but have a new condition they’d like to discuss or they just prefer the extra time.

During this visit you can tell me what you are experiencing- physically, mentally, emotionally. I may ask you to elaborate on particular topics in order to get a more full picture or ask about historical information. I will take your pulses based on Chinese medicine principles and may ask to see your tongue to assist diagnosis.

After the discussion, you will receive a full acupuncture treatment. Based upon your Chinese medicine diagnosis, needles will be precisely and gently at a selection of acupuncture points designed to work together to achieve effective results. You should feel energy moving during this time although the amount differs with each individual. Needles are left in for a minimum of 20 minutes.

After the needles are removed, I frequently provide reasonable and workable dietary and life-style advice based on Chinese medicine principles. Without any pressure, follow-ups, and or herbal medicine (if appropriate) can be discussed. I aim for you to not only feel improvement after an Inital Consultation but to also feel more knowledgeable and empowered.

Follow-up Acupuncture- £60 (£65 from 1 September 2026)
1 hour:

For those wanting acupuncture who have recently seen me before.

The consultation time is 10- 20 minutes before the acupuncture treatment.

Chinese Herbal Medicine Only- Initial Consultation- £70 (herbs are extra and range between £20- £30/ week)- 1 hour:

For those who do not want acupuncture and are requesting only Chinese herbal medicine.

Herbs are sent directly to you from the dispensary usually within a couple of days of the appointment. Herbs are in single dose sachets of granules which are put into a mug with hot water added to create a tea. They are usually taken 2x a day- morning and evening. The herbs are sourced from organic, ethical sources with no fillers. The 1968 Medicines Act defines a herb as a plant so animal or mineral products are never used. I regularly donate to Animals Asia who are dedicated to stopping animal abuse in traditional medicines.

Chinese Herbal Medicine Only- Follow up- £50 (herbs are extra and range between £20- £30/ week)- 45min- 1 hour:

For those who do not want acupuncture and are already on Chinese herbal medicine prescribed by me. This is a follow up at the Grey Door Therapy. Use this option if we need to make a major adjustment to herbs either because things have changed or because you want to address a new issue. For minor changes or repeat prescriptions, online options are available upon request.

“Liz is a very experienced and gifted practitioner. I have seen many acupuncturists over the years, after just two weekly sessions I felt an increase in my energy levels which had previously been extremely low due to adrenal depletion and being perimenopausal. I will definitely be having a monthly session from here on. I highly recommend Liz.” ~CM, Hove
